TODAY I FELL IN LOVE!!

I went to my high risk appointment today thinking it would be the same old routine thing as always, but to my surprise it was much different. I assumed the normal position ( on the table with belly exposed) and on the monitor in full color was my beautiful perfect little baby boy. He looked so real. It felt like i could reach out and touch him. Oh it was magical. The Sonographer used the 3D ultrasound this time which i had never seen before. After i finally got my emotions under control all i could say to her was "isn't he beautiful". I am so thankful that other woman cry sympathetically so i didn't feel awkward. I can't wait to finally hold him. After seeing his wonderful face it was all worth it and i would definitely do it all again.

A new Temple in Gilbert

The Gilbert Arizona Temple has been announced! From the source: The First Presidency has announced the construction of a temple in Gilbert, Arizona. Located in the southeastern section of the Phoenix metropolitan area—just south of Mesa—Gilbert and its surrounding communities enjoy a high concentration of Church members, who currently attend the Mesa Arizona Temple. A temple in Gilbert will help relieve demands currently placed on the Mesa temple, which serves over 70 stakes throughout southern Arizona.
LDS Temples serve as the sacred centers of worship for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS or 'Mormons'), and are where LDS marriages take place. These new temples will serve the southeast valley communities of Gilbert and Queen Creek, and the eastern Arizona cities near Thatcher and Safford. They will join the currently operating Arizona temples: the Mesa Arizona Temple, opened in 1927, and the Snowflake Arizona Temple, opened in 2002. These new temples in Arizona are the first to be announced by our beloved Prophet Thomas S. Monson.

Baby Shower

On Saturday we had our first best baby shower. A dear friend of mine Leah and my Mother Connie threw it for Baby Hunter and I. It was so nice to see everyone. Even though we all live around the same area we just don't get together that often. Everyone was so generous with their gifts. I was truly touched by how loved my little guy is and he hasn't even arrived yet. Hunter will be well dressed and very warm thanks to all of our family and friends. Our second baby shower is being thrown by my visiting teachers Jan and Amy. they are such awesome Ladies. They have just made me feel so welcome in our ward from the day Warren and i moved in.

Just a little update

My first Glucose test (the one hour) i failed so I had to go in and take the three hour test. They make you fast for 18 hours before and then give you this terrible tasting fruit punch drink ( and i thought the one hour drink was bad, oh it can be worse). The three hour drink has 3x the amount of sugar as the one hour (picture drinking a staight cup of sugar). You have to drink it down in 5 minutes or the test won't be accurate. After four hours and four needle sticks later i was finished. On Tuesday i got a call from my Doctor and he said i PASSED!! I was so thrilled my prayers had been answered.

Hunter's Room

Well after many countless hours and pin pricks the bedding is all put together. We still have more decorating to do but one step at a time. We have tackled the task of making a mobile (it turned out GREAT!) which was not in the plans but just came to us you could say. Here is a list of all the things we made... crib bumper, quilt, bed skirt, valance, rocking chair pillow, Mobile. What a JOB! i do have to say it was a wonderful bonding experience for my mom and i, but i think we both will say this is the last home made set there will be. i am so thrilled with the way it turned out though. all that is left is to buy the dresser and hang the mirror and the one of a kind (Annette Grantham original) painting. this room was truly made with love and we are very happy with it. Here are a few photo's of the mostly finished nursery.

Glucose Test

Today i had my forever dreaded gestational diabetes screening. I hear the drink is much better than it has been in the past. In my opinion the drink is still terrible. I did well during the blood draw which was a first for me this whole pregnancy. If i don't pass this test then i will have to do the 3 hr. screening, and i hope that doesn't happen. All in all the Appt. went well . I am going every two weeks now instead of every four. Time is just flying buy. To know the baby will be here in two months just seams crazy. I hope we are ready.
