On Wednesday we normally do a play group with some ladies and their kids from our ward. This particular day they had planned to go do to our local Bass Pro Shop to take pictures with Santa and play at the work shop. I had been feeling very shut in so i decided this would be my 1st time to venture out with all three kids. All by my self!
We planned to all meet up at the chick fil a next to Bass Pro around 1pm. I thought i was timing everything just right until as i was loading Emerie into her car seat she got hungry. I fed her really quick to hold her off until we got there. Apparently this is where my brain shut down... I loaded Em in first, buckled Autumn and then Hunter. I loaded in the stroller and my friend's crock pot from a dinner she had brought us. I thought we were doing great! As i pulled onto the freeway i quickly realized the many things i had forgotten. Among them being my cell phone, camera, front pack for baby, burp cloth and who knows what else! I figured we were late anyway i would just continue on. I has been to BPS many times before i figured I wouldn't need my phone for a GPS.... so i thought! Shortly there after i took the wrong freeway, almost ran out of gas and was WAY later than I planned to be. Not sure when i should be regaining the lost brain cells but really hoping it happens soon. Once I got a clue to where i was and how to get back on route I stopped freaking out.
At the restaurant we all ate lunch together and then went to leave to go see Santa. Well once again Autumn lost her shoes and the kids just could not seem to find them. (this happens more often than not) I just had a baby remember so there was no way i was going to chance ripping stitches to find a $2 pair of flip flops. As i gave up and started to leave this wonderful mother ran up behind me with Autumn's shoes! Bless her heart i started crying... lady hormones :-) I just love kind people. She reassured me things would get easier.
Things started to turn around for me later and everyone had a fantastic time playing with all the games and meeting Santa. These smiles are just priceless and totally worth the hassle!
