First two days home

Well the first night was pretty easy. Hunter was up at 11pm, 1am, and 5am. he ate and went right back to sleep. I was very pleased. He is just a calm little baby. The next day warren's whole family came up to meet him. Their was so much going on all day he was just so worn out. I started to run a fever around noon (102.3 F). I was not feeling all that great. In the middle of the night around 11:30 it got up to (103.1). Needless to say i scheduled a doctors visit for my self to figure out what is going on. And on top of it all he got up every one in a half to two hours two eat. I am just a bit tired this morning. Welcome to motherhood! We also have our first Pediatrician visit. I hope all goes well.

Hunter is HERE!!!

On June 16th at 5:47pm Hunter joined the Grantham family. He weighed in at 6 pounds 15 ounces and 20 inches long. It was a great delivery. After the epidural there was no pain. He came in four pushes which made Megan very happy. He had a few issues at birth. He had trouble breathing and had to go to the NICU right after delivery. He was put on CPAP which is continuous positive pressure ventilation. It was used to help keep his lungs inflated so air could enter. He was on that for about 24 hours. Then they removed it and placed a nasal cannula in his nose for more oxygen because he continued to destat without it. The third day they found that he had pneumonia so they started him on a five day course of antibiotics. Once they got his breathing under control they gave him comfort feeds on top of his IV nutrients. They gave him 5cc every three hours. On day four he got to live in an oxygen tent ( a huge plastic tent with oxygen pumped into it at a high flow). It looked as if he was headed to the moon. On day five he got jaundice and was put under the bili lights for a few days to break up the Billiruben in his system. They finally let us try to breast feed him on the eighth day. He is a champ and took right to it. The next day they let us go home FINALLY!!!!!!!!!

Happy Father's Day

This was a special father's day. I spent Saturday with my Dad which we don't get to do very often and it was great. We had a combined Birthday and Father's Day for him because of how busy we will be this coming week (having a baby n all), and for My Hubby the Father to be in One day! We played games and ate lots of food. The perfect man activities. I can't wait until i can see Warren with our baby. I just know he is going to be such a wonderful dad. I love the relationship Father's and their children share. They are just so playful and fun.

Happy Father's Day to all of you dad's out their and future dad's.

Only 6 days until we are PARENTS!!

Today was my last Doctor's appointment until the baby comes. His stats were 6 Ibs 1 oz, and looking healthy. Their hope is he will deliver at 6 1 /2 Ibs. I am dilating slowly and i am completely effaced. I am just getting more and more nervous as time goes on. I have tried to picture what my life will be like next week but for some reason it seams almost impossible for me to fathom. "Me, Megan a Mother". It has been a dream of mine since i was a little girl but now it just doesn't seam real. We have everything ready to go and now we just wait. If anything the waiting these last few days is making me more crazy then the nine months it took to get here. I just want everything to go smoothly and for it to be a great experience for us all. I am so thankful to have wonderful parents and in-laws who are so willing to offer support and much needed advice. Where would i be with out them?

My New CAR!!!!!

Megan has wanted/needed a new vehicle for a while now. This evening we went out in search of a vehicle that met both of our criteria. around 8 pm we found it. It is a Jeep Grand Cherokee. needless to stay we bought it and drove it on home. Megan took her sweet time driving and she loved every minute. Here are some pictures.
