candy....really.

Today has been one of "those" days. We had a long two weeks without our wonderful daddy around. Saturday evening he finally returned!! Oh there were some super excited kids when we pulled into the terminal. They saw him and started yelling DAD!!! I am sure he could hear them before he even opened the door. It has been nothing but giggles and hugs for three days. Easter and new toys daddy brought them back. But then there was today...what the heck happened?Every time i turn around someone is screaming about something or throwing the food i just made them across the kitchen. It would make up person just want to give up, ya know. But then i thought to my self "why are they acting like this". and then it came to me. EASTER CANDY!! The office was open ( the baskets and candy were locked up to prevent such attitudes) and most off the eggs had been emptied. These kids are on a huge sugar crash! And silly me thought that putting toys in the eggs and not candy would have been better but oh no. that was not tradition says candy addict number one (THE HUBBS). Now I am trying to clean up the disaster of a kitchen while the kids hang on my legs screaming....oh what a day. Next year NO CANDY! I it is sooooo NOT worths this.

Pre Easter fun

The day before Easter my parent's and sister Lauren came over with the fam. We did the traditional egg dying and the kids loved it. I would say that there were some top notch eggs made by the biggest kid... Brent! He has some real talent.

After all the eggs where dyed we headed out to the park to fly some kites! I have not done this in forever. We had a blast and the weather was just perfect.
