Fire, Fire!!

Oh My Goodness! Today was crazy. I had started to make dinner when i turned on the oven to pre heat. Not more that 10 minutes later there is smoke so thick you can barely see anything, the smoke detectors going off (loud beaping noises waking Hunter) and the phone ringing. The remnants of last nights meat loaf was smoking out the house. The alarm company called thinking there was a break in or something and wanted a PASSWORD! We are living at a friend vacation home until we close escrow so i had no idea about the password. So they sent fire trucks and the police. So much for a quite sabbath evening. I was so embarrassed:(
Hunter thought is was so funny all the red and blue flashing lights and men dressed up in full Fire gear. I couldn't stop apologizing. They thought the situation was pretty funny and told me I might want to buy some air fresheners. The house smelt like burnt grease. All in all every thing is fine just an embarrassed Megan and a Hungry husband. We ended up having canned soup in the microwave on the back porch. Ah the joys of trying to be a good wife and cook dinner for my family.
